JAKE DAY - JUNE 25, 2010 A.D.

There will come a day when Jake Day fails to exist. A day when men no longer gather in fun and jocularity. A day when minimal standards rule the world. A day when men stand idly by as bars are closed and golf courses are shuttered. But it is not this day! This day we will stand and fight! Our sovereignty of manhood will rule the day. Not only will we play golf but we will drink while we do it. Some will shoot an 8 on a par 3 and we will think it is funny. Some of us will learn what PC actually stands for and some will have regrets on Saturday morning as they open their eyes to begin a new day and instantly realize that they may have been an idiot yesterday. But that is who we are, that is why we raise our glasses each June near the summer solstice and that is why it is Jake Day 19. Welcome brethren!

As you know, Jake 19 has been organized by the two most handsome Jake Day members. We are open to any suggestions you may have to improve or even ruin the day. We will consider bad ideas because we know most of you well and we do not want you to feel you are being ignored.

From 6:00pm on there will be no strict rules or mandatory departure times. Also, at 6:00pm some Jakers will depart to honor Squirrel in his day of matrimony. The remainder of us will embark into uncharted territory; places our pilgrim forefathers have never been and leave our mark on this Hah-bah town. Of course the names we use while we pillage this town will coincidently be the names of our comrades that have left to honor the Squirrel.

Life as we know it is officially over. The Squirrel and Dave D. are in love. Next thing you know we will have a socialist, border line communist for President. Oh..wait. Just kidding boys. Jake Day transcends politics. Just have fun and do whatever you want and leave whenever you want. After all this is America, I think.
