Seamus O' Seamus'

4 Jakers went out last night to have a bite & a beer (Heff, Dancer, Chag & Doc). We laughed, we cried, we celebrated my birthday etc. etc. The place we went is depicted below.

It's the obligatory local Irish pub.

It's so obligatory that we gave it the most Irish of Irish names. Seamus O' Seamus' (not its real name). This is a picture that Heff took a year or so ago from his cell phone. The grainy-ness of the picture adds to its mystic almost epic quality. I actually liken it to the famous "Night Hawk" painting by Edward Hopper. Well maybe I'm getting carried away on that...

DMB:

I don’t like the Dave Matthews Band.

I know I know I probably should. Its decent music but I just can’t get, you know, into it. It’s not as though I haven’t tried.

Take now for instance… I’m listening to a song right now…

I got nothin’...

The Blues:

Tomorrow I’ll be fuckin’ 40.
I guess I’ll just pick up and continue to live my life…

Even though there’s no frickin’ point…

Oh yeah “it’s the new 30” – c’mon, please, be reasonable, it’s not the new 30 at all. It’s friggin’ 40 – it’s not the new anything.
It’s just 40 and it is what it is.

The thing that kills me is we’ll look back on these days and say oh my Gawd we were so young back then. Live it up boys – have one on me – Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

Client No.9

This is the name of the movie that will take place in roughly 7-10 years from now about New York Governor and sleaze-bag Eliot Spitzer. Jennifer Aniston will play his wife (yes by the way) and maybe Quinton Tarrentino will play him (even more sleazy).

To quote Woody Allen, approximately, in one of his movies - talking to his wife after she caught him cheating on her:

“You think getting a BJ from a beautiful 26 year old blonde with big t*ts… you think that’s fun for me? – Can’t you see this is a cry for help?”

3 Winners - Who will be 4th?:

Here’s a snap shot of the coveted trophy. It currently resides with Dancer and will be going home with Jake 17's winning team.

Even with Jake Day nearly 3 months away, plans for this year’s festivities are sketchy at best. No doubt it will all be ironed out in due course. I’ve heard there will be teams of 3 for all events and the team that performs at the highest level through all events will be the eventual winners.

As Heff & Stubby hash out the events and teams, rest assured the information will be past along to the masses (that means me and the 2 others who visit this site) by way of this forum.

Young Jakers:

Left to right: Stubby, Heff, Rosco & Dancer

Perusing the Jake photo site and came across this beauty of these 4 handsome bastards.

This was taken at Harpoon Fest roughly a thousand odd years ago (even before the conception of Jake Day) and if nothing else provides proof that we were young at one point in history.

Jake Day is scheduled for June 20th, 2008 and as previously discussed Heff & Stubby will be steering the ship. It’s a little more than 3 months till so as new information becomes available please check here for updates.

Spring is almost here boys…
