So Here's My Morning:

I've got a 6:00AM Flight to Atlanta
3:45AM - alarm wakes me up for about 3 seconds... for the next 45 minutes I sleep like an absolute champ.
4:30AM - actually wake up in an friggin' panic  - oh man, this one's going to be close.
4:31AM - start shower.
4:35AM - end shower.
4:45AM - dressed/hair/teeth/kissed Steph - out the door.
4:56AM - arrive at MBTA parking (feeling confident) greet the attendant and thank him for being early because I'm trying to make a 6:00AM fl... - reaching down to retrieve my wallet from my pocket which I am about to realize is not there...
4:57AM - tell the parking lot attendant that I forgot my wallet and I'll be back - he's like "yeah sure whatever, I'll be here". Just then my phone beeps with a message from Delta informing me that my flight has been pushed up from 6:00AM to 5:50AM - sweet it's earlier, that almost never happens! :)
4:58AM - I'm headed home to get the wallet.
4:59AM - called Steph (the wife) and told her the exciting news. She said she will be at the ready with the wallet (solid!).
5:07AM - called Steph and said I'm coming up the hill near out house, can you run it out to me once I get there - She does (did I mention she's the goods?). As I'm leaving I tell her they moved the flight from 6 to 5:50 so you know, yay me!
5:08AM - goes without saying that I'm driving like a crazy man. Stopping at the red lights was reminiscent of Jake and Elwood arriving at the Cook County tax accessors office after that ridiculous police car chase only to find the sign that says "back in 5 minutes" so they casually wait...
5:18AM - arrive back at the parking lot - the attendant cheerfully greets me, points to where I should park, I give him the money and park the car. Walking past him, he wants to make a little chit chat and I'm like "yeah dude gotta go" (but politely, you know I'm not a jerk).
5:19AM - running to the Wood Island T stop and I see my train is just arriving. Frantically, I pull the T pass out of my wallet (had my wallet), get to the turnstile swipe it and it says $0.00 value... Now I'm like "shit!" only I didn't use the word shit. Just then, miraculously the glass doors open to allow me through. I run through and throw an indiscriminate wave at whoever did it (I don't know who it was... and I never got to thank them...)
5:25AM - arrive at Airport T stop and run to the shuttle that takes you over to the terminals. I'm Delta terminal A which is the first top and also the first bit of good news I've received all day.
5:30AM - arrive at terminal A. No bags to check and I'm pre-check status for security (best $85 I ever spent).
5:34AM - get through security and find my gate is A18 (not close... why would it be friggin' close). Now I'm in a light trot as if to say "yeah I'm a little late but you know I still want to look cool about it..." Down the long escalator and down the long hallway then back up another long escalator to get to the other concourse.
5:37AM - arrive at gate and they were just boarding the last passengers... frickin' made it.
5:38AM - text Steph to tell her I'm the last one on - her text to me "U r amazing and in one piece... yay. Love u xoxo" (man is she solid)...
What have I learned? There's really no need to wake up at 3:45AM for a 6AM flight, is there?...

At least I had the time to type this out on the plane with my heart rate resuming as normal.
