Lil Chagger gets bit by count Barf-u-la:

Sorry to report the littlest Chagger had herself several "encounters
with Ollie" early this morning.

Let's hope it doesn't move through the house.

Here's wishing all Jake members and their families a great Memorial
weekend. Less than a month to go...

Ready Yourselves:

Dancer and I are brewing the next batch of Jake Day Ale.

This one is a knock off of Sam's Summer. Hopefully all Jake members
will be able to sample it. Provided we don't drink it all before the
25th.

1 month to go...

Jake Day Stuff

What you need to know about Jake.

1- Everyone please send me $20. This will cover activity number 1 and will spread out the Jake Day cost. {{ I have since recinded the $20 requirement}}.

2- Everyone must bring a joke to Jake Day. A joke that you will have to tell. I mean a story type of joke. Not short stupid jokes. I don't want to hear What color is a burp? Burple. Got it? But it also shouldn't be longer than say a minute or I will fall asleep. You have two months to come up with a joke.

3- 3- The Squirrel is getting married on Jake Day at 7pm. Some Jake members have been invited. I personally think we should reschedule Jake Day as to not interfere with one of the most important days in Joe's life. But rescheduling will be a challenge as the fourth of July is the following weekend and some Jake members who will already be in town on June 25th will have to come back to town on a later date. But we'll have to do whatever we can. I will keep you posted.

4- 4- Doc and I are open to suggestions as far as activities and locations for Jake. Let me know if you have any ideas. The first activity is on the South Shore. I'm sorry. It just worked out that way.

5- 5- Does anybody have any pull at a good golf course preferably on the south side of Boston. I really wanted Granite Links but they don't take advanced tee times and the fee is $125. If the caddies were hot women, then yes I would pay $125, since they are not, then no I won't pay that kind of money to golf.

6- 6-Does anybody have any pull with any celebrities we can invite to Jake? If so, please call me and let me know.

7- 7- I am taking action on whether it will rain on Jake Day or not. It will cost $5 to bet. For example, if Bobby thinks it is going to rain, he bets $5 for rain. If Dave Dev bets it won't, he bets $5 it won't rain. So, if it rains, Heff wins and Dave loses and vice versa. Also, if Heff is the only one to bet it will rain, he wins all the money from the people who said no rain. So basically it is a group thing. If more people bet against rain and only two bet for rain and it doesn't rain, the winners split $20. You will get the money from the group that loses and the winners will divide it evenly. Yeah, I'm confused too and I wrote it.

8- 8- I am looking for other action ideas. Who will be the first to leave? Who will win golf? Who will come in second to last in the beer chug and you can't bet on yourself. Will Chief and TP make love at the mid-day point again this year? You know, stuff like that. Ideas are welcome.

sfdPeace out- Rosco

Big Friggin' News:

Okay people... I know not many check the website on a regular basis but here's some news that certainly is worthy of being here.

The Squirrel, a founding member of Jake is to be married.

You might say Chag, you dufus, that's old news, we knew that a long time ago, in fact you have already updated us regarding this topic in a previous post here on the Jake Blog. To which I would say hey why you gotta call me a dufus... but I digress.

The big news, my brothers, has to do with which day he will be toasting his aforementioned nuptuals.

Perhaps some of you (particularly savy) Jakers have already put 2 & 2 together on this but for those who have not (most of you) the date is 6/25/10.

This has ramifications my brothers - discussions will follow.
